Support for the recovery from Superstorm Sandy has been overwhelming, but the problem of unemployment or underemployment remains.

Many businesses want to help those affected. The Post Sandy Job Fair for Greater New York offers a means for them to do so in the most significant and long lasting way – by connecting them with job-seekers and offering employment opportunities that will provide them with the lifeline they really need. Creating this positive momentum will come back to businesses in the form of a stimulated economy.

We don’t want just another job fair where employers and jobseekers meet then retreat without results. We want to inspire action. We want the event to ring with the words “You’re hired.”

To that aim, Goodwill Industries has formed a collaboration to organize the Post Sandy Job Fair for Greater New York. Together we can make a difference by uniting amazing jobseekers with employers from all over Greater New York.

The Post Sandy Job Fair for Greater New York is free to attend for both job-seekers and employers alike.

All we ask in return is that employers come with the intention of making at least one offer of employment as a result of the job fair. A simple, meaningful pledge that benefits your business, and stimulates the economy. We’ll also be offering free career workshops on a variety of subjects during and prior to the event.
