Lighting ceremony transforms downtown park into garden of holiday delights, featuring music from Metropolitan Klezmer & Manhattan Dolls

New York, NY (November 24, 2014) – Lower Manhattan’s Zuccotti Park will welcome in the winter holidays with an evening ceremony that will feature live music, sweet treats, and the launch of a stunning light display that will illuminate a 25 ft. Christmas tree and colonnades of locust trees.

Presented by Arts Brookfield, the December 3rd celebration will feature live performances by a quartet of musicians from Metropolitan Klezmer, a New York-based band that specializes in inspired original compositions and neo-traditional interpretations of the Yiddish repertoire and The Manhattan Dolls, a female vocal trio who will lead the audience through Christmas favorites like “Rock Around the Christmas Tree,” “Santa Baby,” and “Rudolf the Red Nosed Reindeer.”

Guests will also enjoy free holiday treats like apple cider donuts, candy canes, and chocolate gelt.
