Yoko Ono, Bag One Arts and Legacy Productions Present:

    The Art of John Lennon

    October 9-14, 2013

In honor of John Lennon’s 73rd Birthday, An exhibit to benefit Citymeals-on-Wheels…Imagine there’s no hunger

For the eleventh year in a row, Yoko Ono, Bag One Arts and Legacy Productions have brought a special exhibition of John Lennon’s art to New York City to honor and celebrate his messages of peace, love and truth. Titled The Art of John Lennon, the exhibit returns to the Big Apple this year for what would have been John’s 73rd birthday (October 9th).

On view at this noteworthy SoHo exhibit will be nearly 100 limited edition drawings and songwritings that John created from 1964 to 1980. The artwork spans his days of Beatlemania in the early 1960s all the way to his untimely death in 1980. Highlights include some pieces that have rarely been seen in the last five years including “Embrace,” “Imagine Self Portrait,” “Two Is One,” and “Bed in for Peace.”

All pieces will be available for purchase.

While the exhibit is free, a $3.00 donation at the door is suggested.  In the spirit of John & Yoko’s generosity, all donations benefit Citymeals-on-Wheels, a non-profit organization that prepares and delivers weekend, holiday and emergency meals to the homebound elderly throughout the boroughs of New York City.  Over the years the event, along with contributions from Bag One Arts, has brought more than $157,000 to Citymeals – enough to fund the preparation and delivery of more than 24,000 meals. For information about Citymeals please call 212-687-1234 or visit www.citymeals.org.

The space for this exhibit was donated by L3 Capital and ASB Real Estate Investments.
