    Worldwide Pinhole Photography Day

    Sunday, April 24
    12:00 – 4:00 pm

Come out to Clear Comfort for this celebrated photography festival, the 16th annual Worldwide Pinhole Photography Day! Take your own pinhole photographs on the museum’s historic waterfront grounds and process them in a pop-up darkroom. All materials provided. First exposure free, $5 per additional exposure. Families and individuals welcome!

Worldwide Pinhole Photography Day is an international event created to promote and celebrate the art of pinhole photography. Each year, roughly 3,500 people from 75 countries participate in the event. The Alice Austen House is the only host site in New York City.

Worldwide Pinhole Photography Day is supported, in part, by public funds from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs in partnership with the City Council, Lily Auchincloss Foundation, and Fire Violations Services. Thanks to our darkroom sponsors J&J Towing and New York Container Terminal. Special thanks to Aperture Foundation.
