Author and activist Jane Jacobs (1916-2006) believed in the future of cities and in common sense solutions to urban challenges. This year, in conjunction with the presentation of The Rockefeller Foundation’s Jane Jacobs Medal, the Municipal Art Society’s annual Jane Jacobs Forum features leading women in the fields of architecture and planning, landscape architecture, development, community development, business and the arts.
They invite you to join them at the TimesCenter for this lively discussion of the role of women as innovators shaping cities, featuring:
Laura Flanders — GRITtv (Moderator)
Peggy Deamer — Assistant Dean, Yale School of Architecture
Gayle Farris — Principal, GB Farris Strategies Inc.
Andrea Lamberti — Partner, Rafael Viñoly Architects
Mary Miss — Artist and Creator, City as Living Laboratory
Sheela Maini Søgaard — CEO and Partner, BIG Architects
Laura Starr — Principal, Starr Whitehouse Landscape Architects and Planners
