    Transom, a new site-specific installation by painter Ben Dowell and commissioned by Arts Brookfield, expands the artist’s colorful patterns onto a grand scale. Influenced by stained glass and modernist concepts of abstract art, Dowell’s vivid patterns radiate throughout One New York Plaza’s exterior colonnade. Created both digitally and by hand, Transom continues the long tradition of artists observing, reflecting on, and adding grandeur to our architectural experiences.
