    Featuring Actor Lauren Adams

The Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum joins the Upright Citizens Brigade Touring Company to host To the Moon, a night of comedy, history and science featuring actor Lauren Adams, former NASA astronaut Mike Massimino and NASA’s Noah Petro on Saturday, July 20 at the Intrepid Museum located at Pier 86 (46th Street and 12th Avenue). Doors open 7:00pm, program begins at 8:00pm.

In 1961, President Kennedy announced an audacious goal: launch an American beyond Earth’s orbit, land on the lunar surface, then return to Earth safely–all before the decade’s end. How was this going to be accomplished? Lauren, Mike, Noah and the UCB Touring Company will discuss the science and history behind this outrageous undertaking. The comedy team will then launch into an Apollo 11-inspired improv set, bringing to life what they learned in their conversation about this ambitious endeavor.

Wine and beer will be available for purchase. This event is open to adults ages 21 and over.

Tickets are required and space is limited. Tickets are $15.00 for general admission and $10.00 for Museum members. For more information and to purchase tickets, please visit

This event is part of Intrepid Presents, a curated program series weaving together science, the arts and history through unique performances and captivating, interactive experiences.
