NEW YORK, NY – February 14th– The Poetry Society of New York is pleased to announce a special Valentine’s Day event, Between The Sheets, at 394 Broome Street, New York, NY 10013. The Poetry Brothel will turn the Happy Bones cafe into an immersive red-light district window parlor complete with a choice of five poetry whores in the window and a calligraphist body painter who will scrawl lines of verse upon attendees. Event concept and design by Saatchi & Saatchi Creative Director, Marsha Meredith, and Reeshma Bhanji. Admission is $1 at the door. The Poetry Brothel will be open from 7pm-9pm.
Oh little larks of winter, how cold you must be, how lost in the whiteness of the snowy winter trees. Come warm your little wings by the fire of these words. This Valentines Day, The Poetry Brothel invites you to a most intimate encounter. Get between the sheets with the Poetry Whore of your choosing, close your eyes, and let the warmth of her words wash this long winter away. We’ll be waiting for you loves, at 394 Broome Street, look for the red light.
