According to the official site: “It’s the oldest and largest street festival in Brooklyn, New York! The 43rd Annual Atlantic Antic™ Festival will be held on Sunday, September 24th, 2017. Vendor Applications are available for a limited time!”
Yours truly tried to look for any article from the original year of the fair but the best I was able to come up with was a NY Times article from 1975 titled, ‘2 Camels Help Brooklyn Mark Atlantic Antic Day‘ wherein there was talk of a camels being part of the celebration; and another from 1977 titled ‘Accent Is on Antic In Atlantic Avenue‘ which mentions quite a bit of the festivities taking place at the annual fest.
According to the Brooklyn Daily Eagle, the event brings in over 1 million visitors every year. Wow! That’s quite a number.
Be sure, as well, to visit the official Atlantic Antic website here…
We’re looking forward ourselves to attending this year’s big Brooklyn happening! Here’s to Brooklyn!
