Hospital Intensive Care, also known as Critical Care, is potentially life-saving and very challenging for all involved: doctors, nurses, therapists and, especially, patients and their families/friends. This talk, based on 22 years of ethics consultation and teaching of medical residents in an ICU, will address problems and possibilities, focusing on actual cases, for all who must struggle in critical clinical situations.
