Summer Streets 2019

Route spans for 7 miles from the East 72nd street exit of Central Park over to Park Avenue an all the way down to the village wherein it winds its way past Astor Place and down Lafayette Street towards the Brooklyn Bridge.
Along the way there’ll be rest stops offering up activities which should be of interest to many.
It’s been awhile since we’ve participated in this event but we’re antsy to be getting back in the game and re-experiencing it anew. For perhaps most folks it’s an opportunity to pursue and carry out that which the organizers had in mind. That is, a chance to promote a healthy lifestyle; provide a family-friendly & pet-friendly atmosphere; Promote sustainable forms of transportation…and more. But you know what? It’s an awesome chance for us photographers to walk about through the streets and other parts with cameras in hand for those once in a lifetime shots! So if you’re not into the sports element of what this event offers up then joining with your camera equipment might be a great idea. ‘and well, that’s exactly what yours truly has in mind.
