Free and open to the public September 9 through 11, from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m., at 8 Ingraham Street in Bushwick, 29Rooms, which welcomed over 6,000 visitors when it debuted last year, is an interactive, inclusive event, offering the public the opportunity to experience the excitement of Fashion Week firsthand.

This year’s edition, Powered by People, is an immersive installation showcasing art, music, virtual reality, and more. Set in a nearly 80,000-square-foot warehouse, 29Rooms is comprised of unique spaces developed in partnership with a broad range of creators, innovators and local artists.

The various, distinct builds explore global issues and topics such as body positivity, mental health, and self-expression. Visitors will have the opportunity to explore rooms including:

• Daniel Rozin’s SEE YOU Room – If you need a hero, a friend, or a muse, take a good look in the mirror. Better yet, walk through this entire gallery, where the looking-glasses are the medium and your movement is the art. Reveal your potential, revel in the beauty of self-reflection, and always be your best selfie.

• GURLS TALK in partnership with Adwoah Aboah—Everyone has stories that are hard to share. But, if we don’t tell these stories, they’ll tell us… that we’re alone, small, powerless. Gurls Talk builds a bridge between conversation and action, socializing and social change. Pick up the phones to learn from the biggest obstacles other women have overcome.

• Come To Your Senses In partnership with Signe Pierce & Flavor Paper Your brain is your most powerful sexual organ — and arousal is (almost) all in your head. Thrill your senses with a game of show and smell. Scratch and sniff the strawberries and whip cream aphrodisiac wallpaper; get handsy with our mystery objets d’art; and feast your eyes on the peepshow.
