    Refinery29, the leading digital lifestyle media company, will kick off New York Fashion Week this fall with “29Rooms,” an interactive funhouse showcasing art installations, one-of-a-kind performances, virtual reality experiences, film screenings, music, and more through 29 remarkable, immersive rooms. The installation, created in collaboration with experts from the worlds of fashion, beauty, food, art and design, is free and open to the public September 11 and 12, from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m., at 15 Huron Street in Greenpoint, Brooklyn.

    Set in a 50,000-square-foot warehouse on the waterfront in Greenpoint, the event will invite visitors to choose their own adventure as they explore the 29 distinct spaces developed in partnership with a broad range of innovators, including Charlotte Tilbury, Petra Collins, Danielle Levitt, the women of ALDA, Amirah Kassem, CONFETTISYSTEM, Hattie Stewart, Print All Over Me, Hisham Bharoocha, Crystal Moselle, and Shantell Martin. The event will also feature collaborations with brand partners, including Nordstrom Rack, Old Navy, SIX:02, PUMA, Fossil, as well as a Minnie Mouse-inspired room celebrating Disney’s global style icon. In addition to high-concept design, many of the rooms will shine a light on issues facing society today, such as gender identity, body positivity, and politics.
