Staten Island OutLOUD presents a special reading in honor of the Alice Austen House’s 30th Anniversary and its celebratory exhibition “Becoming Clear Comfort: History of a Landmark.” Selected readings of short fiction by American writers Sara Orne Jewett and Gwendolyn Brooks reflect upon the meaning of home, inspired by Alice Austen’s connection with Clear Comfort, her home of 77 years. You are invited to share your own thoughts about what it means to “come home”. Free & open to the public.
