Michael Praetorius single-handedly produced much of the Lutheran church music heard in northern Germany in the early 17th century. The concert will present music that might have been heard at a Christmas Day mass in 1620 by Praetorius, Samuel Scheidt and Johann Hermann Schein, including mass movements, chorales and organ works.
