According to Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz, the fireworks at Orchard Beach WILL BE GOING ON TONIGHT!
We’re presently updating other parts of New Yorkled to reflect this so’s more people are aware.

Orchard Beach Fireworks Celebration

We’re still awaiting official word regarding any rain dates and such. Although, last year the fireworks were to have taken place on the very next day in case of bad weather.
In as far as verification of these fireworks by other sites and media…there’s the Grucci page indicating that the barge would be in Pelham Bay off of Orchard Beach…They’ve had this listed for quite some time. Also, there’s the NYC 311 Page here…
‘and now, there’s the ‘I Love the Bronx’ site with this page of theirs, just recently posted.
