    Explore Some of the Cemetery’s Most Impressive & Elaborate 19th-Century Mausoleums at This Popular Green-Wood Event

    It’s back! One of Green-Wood’s most popular events returns with an afternoon of exploring a curated selection of the cemetery’s impressive and elaborate 19th-century mausoleums. Venture inside the elaborate gates of these “permanent residences” to explore stunning examples of the distinct architecture of Green-Wood.

    At each location, docents will offer a glimpse into the lives of the personalities who now rest in these opulent edifices.

    Comfortable footwear is recommended. Special maps with a recommended route are provided at check-in at Green-Wood’s main entrance.

    Green-Wood – 25th Street at 5th Avenue, Brooklyn – Meet at the Gothic Arches

    Take the “R” train to 25th Street in Brooklyn and walk up the hill one block and into the Cemetery.

    Free parking is available.
