In the past there’ve been Pre-Race Celebrations. No word, as yet, regarding any such festivities taking place this year.
Just in case, the following is a sample of what’s gone on in the past:
Before the race begins, join them for an amazing pre-race party in Central Park! Starting at 10:00 pm, they’ll have a live DJ, dancing, and—new this year—incredible elements such as an interactive dragon, elaborate stilt walkers, giant banner tails, and more.
Enjoy the celebration as you prepare for your race, and then set off for four miles at the stroke of midnight. The start will be accompanied by a 15-minute fireworks show, and a sparkling cider station and a live DJ at the half-way mark will keep you rolling on through the finish line and into 2019.
