“The London Terrace Street Fair is back once again. It will take place on September 25, 2021 on 24th St. between 9th and 10th Ave., and will host an eclectic variety of vendors selling vintage collectibles, jewelry, furniture, clothing, original artwork, records and CDs, light food and drink, and the list goes on. It certainly is not your usual summer fair in NY, but rather like a barn sale in Upstate New York combined with a classy New England crafts fair…but in Manhattan!
This will be the 29th year that the London Terrace Tenants Association (LTTA) is holding this festive event, partly to benefit The Holy Apostles Soup Kitchen, and partly to help fund the Tenants Association itself. The LTTA assists tenants from London Terrace with day to day problems, and is very active in the local Chelsea community as a whole. President of the LTTA, Inge Ivchenko, often says, “the London Terrace Street Fair is an institution at this point”, and likens the grand fete to Brimfield in Manhattan, where rustic meets elegance.”
So, put it in your calendar now, it is less than two weeks away. Friends and neighbors from west Chelsea will host other Manhattanites and tourists visiting from all over the world for a lovely day of shopping beneath a canopy of trees, to celebrate the onset of the autumn season. And, there is an affordable trinket for everyone.”
