New York, NY, February 22, 2016 – NYC Pride announced today a world-class lineup of DJs for the 30th Anniversary Dance on the Pier, Sunday, June 26 on Hudson River Park’s Pier 26.

The 2016 Dance on the Pier line-up includes Alain Jackinsky (Montreal), Hoxton Whores (London), Honey Soundsystem (San Francisco), and Ben Baker (New York). A spectacular fireworks display over the Hudson River will continue to bring the Dance to a close at 10pm.

“Celebrating the 30th Anniversary of the Dance with this awesome DJ talent ensures another legendary event for our 7,500+ guests,” said Jose Ramos, NYC Pride Dance on the Pier Director, “We look forward to once again bringing NYC the biggest dance party of Pride weekend.”

Since 1986, Dance on the Pier has been NYC Pride’s largest fundraiser, supporting iconic LGBT Pride events like the March, Rally, and PrideFest. The Dance is also the grand finale of a full weekend of parties produced by NYC Pride, including Fantasy, VIP Rooftop Party, Teaze, Graffiti, and Femme Fatale. Along with Dance on the Pier, these events raise critical funds to support the organization’s work, including the disbursement of more than $45,000 annually in working grants for smaller LGBT non-profits.

“It’s amazing to see how the Dance on the Pier has evolved over the last 30 years from an outdoor protest set to music, to one of the world’s most renowned LGBT events,” said Chris Frederick, NYC Pride Managing Director, “We are excited for a re-imagined Pier Dance that continues to deliver spectacular talent, set in front of New York’s stunning skyline.”

Heritage of Pride, Inc is the volunteer-managed organization behind the official NYC Pride roster of events. In 2015, an estimated 2 million people participated in NYC Pride events, which have take place annually during the last week of June since the 1969 Stonewall Riots.
