Old World harmony is peppered with provocative Iberian rhythms composed in the New World and performed by EM/NY’s superb vocal ensemble accompanied by a pair of guitars and theorbos, dulcian (early bassoon) and recorder. Religious vocal creations for Spain’s and Mexico’s ornate cathedrals are interwoven with instrumental and vocal chanzonetas, villancicos, coloquios and ensaladas, with guitar tablatures of lively dances by Santiago de Murcia. These are a traditionally sold-out seasonal performances! Order early!
