Nature Crafts: Make Your Own Backyard Bird Feeder

    with environmental educator Robin Sanchez

    Sunday, March 9, 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm

Meet inside Payson Education Center at Payson Avenue and Dyckman Street

Birding with youth is the perfect way to use our senses and learn more about our natural environment right here in the city! What better time to learn about wildlife and bird migration than at the fist sign of spring! Join Robin for a fun indoor kids program to learn about the many native birds species, while making recycled bird feeders and nesting bags in preparation for spring. Kids can then take their crafts home to discover and observe wildlife right out their own back window! Please bring an empty milk or juice carton from home (extra cartons will be available).
Suitable for ages 5-10. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
This program has been made possible with support from the Greenacre Foundation and Fort Tryon Park Trust.
