October 31, November 3 & November 8
New York, NY (Oct. 29, 2014) – Get dressed up—whether that means in a costume or in your fanciest outfit—and take in a performance of Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte (The Magic Flute) at the Metropolitan Opera on Friday, October 31, at 7:30 p.m.
The opera, in a stunning, otherworldly production by Julie Taymor (The Lion King) is a hit with operagoers of all ages, with children particularly responding to the large-scale puppetry and the comedic character of the hapless birdcatcher Papageno. Adults love the opera for its spectacular visuals and extraordinary music, which includes the Queen of the Night’s famous aria Der Hölle Rache.
Tickets begin at $25, with orchestra tickets from $85. After Halloween, there are two more performances, on November 3 at 7:30 p.m. and November 8 at 1 p.m.
