    Press Release:

Moniker Art Fair is pleased to announce the exhibitors for its second, New York edition, taking place May 1 – 5, 2019 at a new, central location in NoHo ( 718 Broadway). Celebrating its 10th year, the five-day event will feature some of the world’s most renowned urban & contemporary artists and galleries, in booth exhibitions as well as solo presentations and installations.

Moniker’s new NoHo space will host a curated lineup of 28 exhibitors and four Special Projects, hailing from 13 countries around the globe. These are presented in alignment with this year’s theme, Cause & Effect, which examines our shared roles and commitments in addressing the current state of political, social and ecological injustices. New exhibitors to this year include: Parlor Gallery from New Jersey, Mazel Galerie from Brussels, Perseus Gallery from New York and 11.12 Gallery from Moscow.

Complimenting Moniker’s lineup of gallery exhibitors will be a focus on solo artist presentations, with the fair’s Open Studios section and its installations by Spotlight Artists . “Open Studios” will be a dedicated section for solo artists to design a booth that best exemplifies their practice and work. Spotlight Artists are picked to create interactive and large-scale installations that can be found throughout the fair. Both initiatives amplify Moniker’s commitment to creating a sensational, immersive environment that highly engages its audience.

“We are thrilled to be returning to New York again this year following a strong debut,” said Tina Ziegler, Fair Director . “At a time when across the world we’re increasingly seeing closed borders, fear of divide, and exclusionary, divisive politics, it’s an important moment for the art world to celebrate inclusivity, global activism and a community that operates with a proudly international outlook. That’s a particularly strong part of the exhibitions and installations we’re hosting at this year’s fair, and one that I’m excited about.”

Last year’s inaugural US edition reported over 6,000 visitors, who attended to see work by pioneers within the urban art scene and enjoy Moniker’s many unique programs and events. Programming for this year’s fair was created around the desire to make art collecting more accessible, and includes Collector’s Day, an alternative for the typical art fair Vernissage, which provides early access to the fair and a series of special events.
