    In 1976, Mae Yih became the first Chinese American woman elected to a state legislature in the United States. Join former Senator Yih as she introduces her newest book, East Meets West: A Bridge to Understanding, Friendship, Trust, Peace and Prosperity Between My Mother and Adopted Countries, where she describes her journey from a childhood in China, to her immigration to America before the Communist Revolution, to the events that led to a successful career in politics.

    Followed by a book signing.
