Join them virtually to learn the art of the handmade dumpling with Chef Kian Lam Kho, author of the award-winning cookbook “Phoenix Claws and Jade Trees: Essential Techniques of Authentic Chinese Cooking.” This virtual class covers all the steps you need to make dumplings at home including hand-folding techniques and how to achieve that perfect pan-sear. You’ll get Kian’s favorite dumpling recipes and some tips and tricks so you can enjoy your dumplings almost instantly! This dumpling-making party is facilitated by Nancy Yao Maasbach, MOCA President.
Please note that you will need to have your filling ingredients pre-measured and ready for the session. The ingredient list and detailed preparation steps will be sent out after registration. Kian’s cookbook can be purchased via multiple online retailers.
MOCA has not skipped a beat since its temporary closure in March. We’ve been converting our programs to online offerings and creating new digital content through multiple platforms, always free of charge—because history matters. We’ve been hit hard by the dramatic loss of income due to COVID-19. We hope you’ll consider making a gift to become part of a continuing lifeline for MOCA. No amount is too little and we greatly appreciate your generosity. Your support will ensure the survival of MOCA which has been dealt many blows over the past months. www.mocanyc.org/support_moca
