    Mathematicomics!

    Sunday, April 6, 2014

    National Museum of Mathematics (MoMath)

MoMath invites all young artists and math enthusiasts ages 8-14 to come play inside the strange and unexpected world of math in art! Internationally known comics artist Marek Bennett will be teaching mathematical patterns and tricks to create original mini-comics.  There is no comics experience necessary—if you can draw a circle, two points, and a line segment, you’ve got yourself an original character!

Cartoon artist, musician, and educator Marek Bennet is known for leading his comic workshops throughout the world, helping children of all ages discover a new love and interest in art, education, and math.  By using their imagination, children who wouldn’t usually have an interest in math can be their own creator without any limits, making learning fun!

Attendees can visit http://mathematicomics.momath.org for pricing and to register.
