Join us for an evening seeing two worlds close up thanks to new data recently synthesized by NASA that can be experienced on the Dome like being there. The Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter’s Context Camera has covered over half the surface of the Red Planet at six-meter resolution. The Mercury MESSENGER mission is sending back images being made into maps that are allowing us to see the closest world to the Sun better than ever before. The terrain height has also been measured on both worlds, so together with these high-resolution image maps, the Hayden can virtually take us there and experience the similarities and differences in stunning detail.
Support for Hayden Planetarium Programs is provided by the Schaffner Family.
