    Amusement Park to Celebrate with Traditional Egg Cream Christening of the 95-Year Old Cyclone and Donations to Local Brooklyn Community

    Luna Park in Coney Island officially reopens on Saturday, April 2nd at 12:00 AM, welcoming back thrill seekers and amusement enthusiasts of all ages for the 2022 season. To kick off the festivities, the traditional egg cream christening of the 95-year-old Coney Island Cyclone will begin at 11:00 AM.

    To support the members of the local Brooklyn community, Luna Park in Coney Island will donate a percentage of sales to Children of Promise NYC, the Coney Island Sharks and Operation Hood as part of the park’s annual charitable tradition for Opening Day. On Saturday, April 2nd only, Opening Day Extraordinary Wristbands will be priced at $20 to support each local organization with a day of fun.

This season Luna Park in Coney Island will also unveil its newly added sites as part of its expansion project, adding more ways to have fun in New York City.
