Luminaries at Brookfield Place 2018
November 28, 2018 – January 4, 2019
November 27: Light Up Luminaries
5:30 – 8:00 pm
Light Up Luminaries signals the start of the holiday season with an evening full of fun and holiday cheer as Brookfield Place celebrates the spectacular light installation and holiday tradition. Enjoy free ice skating on the waterfront, sweet treats, and performances by the Original Dickens Carolers and Joe McGinty and The Loser’s Lounge!
Luminaries is a mesmerizing holiday light installation created by the LAB at Rockwell Group for Brookfield Place. Visitors are immersed in the suspended canopy of glowing lanterns that change in color and intensity within the Winter Garden. The display is inspired by the season’s traditions of sharing, giving, and community. Visitors are encouraged to watch light shows every half hour and send wishes to the canopy above from the glowing wishing stations. Brookfield will donate $1, up to $25,000, for every wish sent during the holiday season to Little Essentials, a New York City based non-profit that improves the health, safety, and well-being of children living in poverty by providing urgently needed resources and parenting education to families in crisis.
- Light Shows: 8 am – 10 pm
- Wishing: 10 am – 8 pm
