Times Square Broadway Plaza between 43rd & 44th Sts
“Composer and songwriter Jherek Bischoff’s third record is an oceanic song cycle that encourages listeners to drop down into their own mind, a safe space in the dark where they are comfortably alone.” – Pitchfork
Following the release of his beautiful, meditative album Cistern, composer and multi-instrumentalist Jherek Bischoff will transform one of the world’s busiest intersections into a uniquely intimate concert venue. Jherek Bischoff’s Silent Orchestra will feature musicians from one of NYC’s finest ensembles, Contemporaneous, playing electronic orchestral instruments whose sounds will be transmitted directly to your ears via wireless headphones.
The grand finale of the concert will be synchronized with the Midnight Moment screening of Bischoff’s video work for Cistern, displayed on the spectacular electronic billboards of Times Square.
Please arrive by 11:00pm to receive wireless headphones for the 11:30pm performance. There will be seating on a first-come, first-served basis with additional standing room.
