Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum To Honor Military Heroes At Annual Veterans Day Ceremony
Wednesday, November 11th from 3:30 PM–4:30 PM
Hundreds of veterans—including former crew members of Intrepid—are expected to attend the Museum’s annual Veterans Day ceremony honoring our nation’s military service members on Wednesday, November 11th from 3:30 PM–4:30 PM at the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum, located at Pier 86 (46th Street and 12th Avenue) in Manhattan.
The tribute will include the presentation of the National Colors and annual commemorative wreath laying in the Hudson River. Remarks will be made by Mayor’s Office of Veterans’ Affairs, Commissioner Loree Sutton, M.D., Brigadier General, U.S. Army (Retired); Rear Admiral Cynthia M. Thebaud, Commander, Expeditionary Strike Group 2; and Susan Marenoff-Zausner, President of the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum.
This year, two wreaths will be laid in the river in honor of United States veterans and former crew members of Intrepid.
Museum entrance is free to all U.S. veterans, active and retired military through the generous support of Bank of America.
