Lake Carmel Fireworks
Grab a blanket and find a spot around the lake to watch the fireworks, or if you know a parks district resident with a boat, take it on the lake for VIP access to the show. The fireworks will start around 8:45pm and the event will last for about an hour. No angle is a bad angle for the Lake Carmel fireworks, but make sure to get there early as surrounding roads will be closed off.

This event has become a yearly tradition for my family. The Annual Fireman’s Carnival runs this year through July 5. After a day of carnival fun, grab a spot on the open green fields or along the marina to check out the fireworks show. There’s no bad viewing spot for the fireworks that start around 9:30. Price Chopper has presented this Albany tradition since our country’s bicentennial celebration in 1976. The annual holiday celebration features live music and fun for the whole family including the best fireworks show in the region. Each year, more than 30,000 people gather to enjoy the day at the Plaza, which includes a naturalization ceremony, dozens of food and craft vendors, activities for kids, and an evening of live entertainment leading up to the big pyrotechnics show. 11am-8pm.
