    #HoodiesUP: Art Exhibit

    National Black Theatre

Art In FLUX Harlem is a participating organization in #HoodiesUP: ART EXHIBIT at National Black Theatre.  In honor of Black History month and Trayvon Martin, Dr. Barbara Ann Teer’s National Black Theatre presents #HoodiesUP where artists create an artistic piece using a black hoodie to embody the complex conversation that this garment of clothing evokes within the American consciousness. The exhibit will happen in conjunction with National Black Theatre and the New Black Fest production, Facing Our Truth: 10 minute Plays on Trayvon, Race and Privilege.  Art In FLUX Harlem is presenting 3 artists, Anthony J. Thomas, Makeba Rainey, Tyson Hall alongside 20 participating organizations and artists selected by NBT including the Laundromat Project (Shani Peters), Harlem School of the Arts, Beats Rhythm and Relief, Scott Campbell, Jose Parla, Byran McCray, Misha McGlown, Druce Williams, Michael Singletary, Joya Powell, Carlos Jesus Martinez Dominguez, Jocelyn M. Goode and Ezekiel Fleming.
