    Historic Richmond Town Independence Day Celebration

    Admission: Free for members / $8 for seniors and students / $10 for adults

    Activities offered up at this annual event:

    • Taste pie baked in an oven centuries old!
    • Make Victorian paper pinwheels and marching in the Pinwheel Parade.
    • Visit with Artisans of the Historic Trades and learn about the creation of household necessities using period tools.
    • View the displays of the Staten Island Model Railroaders.
    • Participate in a dramatic reading of the Declaration of Independence.
    • Churn ice cream the old-fashioned way.
    • The Science Behind Fireworks, a demonstration by The Unexcelled Firework Company (1888-1944).
