Save money and help “save the Earth” at the same time. How we use energy is harmful to the planet, wasteful, and expensive for ourselves even though there have been solutions for decades. I’ll go into detail on the problems and solutions. No to poison power (nuclear and fossil fuel), yes to efficiency and renewables (solar, wind, tidal, geothermal, hydrothermal, wave).
Ken Gale is the host and producer of WBAI-FM’s environmental radio show Eco-Logic. He is the founder of the NYC Safe Energy Campaign and author of Chernobyl-on-the-Hudson. Ken is a long-time environmental activist and birder and active with NYC Grassroots Alliance and NYC Friends of Clearwater.
