Halloween Parade and Pumpkin Flotilla at Central Park
Sunday, October 26, 2014
3:30 p.m.–6:30 p.m.
Join them for Central Park Conservancy’s annual Halloween Parade and Pumpkin Flotilla. Enjoy spooky music, nocturnal animal mask arts and crafts, live pumpkin carving demonstrations, and of course their signature pumpkin flotilla, which sets sail across the Harlem Meer at twilight!
Due to the limited number of floats and space, pre-carved pumpkins will only be accepted at the two designated drop off locations between 3:30 pm and 5:00 pm or until the flotilla reaches capacity.
Members: pre-register before October, 26 to secure your pumpkin’s spot on the flotilla!
Pumpkin Flotilla Guidelines:
Pumpkins must be pre-carved with top.
Weight: approximately 8 pounds after carved; mini pumpkins will not be accepted
Size: No bigger than the size of a soccer ball
Decoration: No artificial materials, such as paint, glitter, marker, food dye, paper, plastic
This is to protect the ecological health of the Harlem Meer should your pumpkin decide to go for a swim!
