Green-Wood Hosts A Tu-Mulch-Uous And Tree-Mendous Giveaway
Green-Wood Partners with the New York Restoration Project and MillionTreesNYC for Free Mulch and Tree Giveaway
Saturday, March 15, 2014; 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Green-Wood – Meet inside the main gate (25th Street at 5th Avenue, Brooklyn)
Via Subway: From the Atlantic/ BarclaysCenter stop in Brooklyn, take the R train to 25th (Service on the R train between Manhattan and Brooklyn is suspended until October 2014.) Walk east one block to Green-Wood at 5th Avenue and 25th Street. Free parking is available.

On Saturday, March 15, 2014, from 2:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m., the Green-Wood Historic Fund will host a free mulch and tree giveaway in collaboration with the New York Restoration Project and MillionTreesNYC. Whether you’re an avid gardener or someone looking to make New York a little greener, all are welcome at Brooklyn’s historic Green-WoodCemetery.
Beginning at 2:00 p.m., you can pick up high-quality mulch and plenty of advice from horticulture experts who will be on hand throughout the event to answer any and all gardening questions. Green-Wood provides free mulch year-round.

FOR A TREE: For those interested in bringing home a tree, you must register online at www.nyrp.org/brooklyntrees. Only a limited number of trees will be available on a first-come-first-served basis. Please be sure you are able to take your tree home on your own as each weighs approximately 10-25 lbs. You must be a resident of New York City in order to receive a tree.
