    Direct from Jo-burg, two of South Africa’s most dynamic dance companies — Gumboots and Pantsula Dance — come together for a heart-and-soul-pounding production based on an elderly man’s recollections of toiling in that country’s mines. With 20 performers and a live back-up band, “Stimela the Musical” re-creates these workers’ songs and dances, which connected them to their culture and eased the pain of being away from home.
