Join Ted Steinberg, Professor of Law and History at Case Western Reserve University, for a discussion of how an island estuary became one of the world’s most densely populated cities. In his new book, Gotham Unbound: An Ecological History of New York, from Henry Hudson to Hurricane Sandy (Simon & Schuster, June 2014), Steinberg examines the region’s transformation over three centuries through an ecological lens. RSVP required.

Free for Museum members; $12 students/seniors; $16 general public.
