    In conjunction with the Culinary Historians of New York What use are cookbooks? Much more than your next meal, cookbooks tell you what you want to be, where you think you fit into your social world and which culture or cultures you identify as normal. Cultural historian Megan Elias will discuss the history of American cookbooks from the 18th century to food blogs today. [Reservations strongly suggested]
