    Food Drive to Support Queens College Food Pantry

    The following is borrowed from the Queens County Farm Museum website and we post this here for the sake of helping the effort.

    “”This holiday season, Queens Farm is working together with Queens College to feed tummies and feed minds. The general public is acencouraged to stop by our Farm Store and drop off packaged, non-perishable food for the Queens College Food Pantry which helps support food insecure students. Suggestions include canned fish and lean meats, nut butters, soups and stews, whole grain bread, cereal and crackers, dried rice, noodles and pasta, oatmeal, canned or dried beans, sauces and gravy, packaged fruit and vegetables and shelf-stable milk. Note that expired food will not be accepted. Food donations should be as diverse as the borough of Queens! Thank you for helping us support this important cause.””
