FILMMAKERS  DISCUSS  JEWISH-THEMED  MOVIES  AT  VILLAGE  TEMPLE

New York NY – Contemporary films of Jewish themes will be presented and discussed by their filmmakers at a series at The Village Temple, at 33 East 12th Street, in the heart of Greenwich Village, beginning on Sunday, October 6 at 4:00 pm.

Fifty Children, the acclaimed HBO documentary about a Philadelphia couple who rescued Viennese children from the Nazis, is the first in the series. After the screening, the filmmaker, Steven Pressman, will lead a discussion, joined by Emily and Melissa Hacker, whose mother, at age 13, was among the nearly 10,000 children taken to England on the Kindertransport.

The screening is open to the public. Tickets are available at the door, a donation of $10 is suggested.
