At the Museum of the City of New York
Sunday, April 3 from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm
The exhibition New York Yiddish Theater: From the Bowery to Broadway features many costumes designed by Eastern European Jewish immigrants worn in the Yiddish theaters of the Lower East Side. Get inspired by costumes that made their way onto the Yiddish stage more than a hundred years ago, then use paper and fabric to design a 3-dimensional costume sketch of your own. What character will you create?
Paper, pencils, markers, fabric, feathers, and sticky dots
Free with Museum admission and geared to families with children ages 6-12, though all ages are welcome, and they include a free snack! Family Programs are interactive and designed for adults and children to complete the activities together.
