The Reformed Church of Huguenot Park, located at 5475 Amboy Road at Huguenot Avenue, just two blocks from the Huguenot Train Station in Staten Island will hold its 6th annual Fall Harvest Fair on Saturday, October 18th from10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.. They will have at least 20 vendors with unique items for sale. There will be free activities for children including decorate your own fall/Halloween cupcake, pumpkin and face painting , make a fall craft and group games. The historical tour of their 165+ year old church will give you an opportunity to learn about the French Huguenots who are depicted in the church’s stain glass windows and whose lives are revealed through writings engraved in the stone walls. They will have raffles from our generous neighborhood stores and a 50/50. Lunch will be vended by Staten Island Smoke Catering. Last but not least, there will be dogs and cats from Staten Island’s animal shelter, Staten Island Animal Care and Control available for immediate adoption. All adopted pets will get a free vet check by VCA Animal Hospitals. VCA Hospital will also sponsor a “Ask the Vet” table. Flu shots will be available from Rite Aid so bring your insurance card.
