Vocalist Emilie Surtees returns to New York’s B.B. King Blues Club for a musical salute to three of the ultimate divas of jazz: Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughan. This sure-to-be-electrifying set will excite any music-lover who’s ever been caught belting out “Love is Here to Stay,” “At Last” or “Black Coffee.” Members of Surtees’ backing band, The Soul Providerz, have played with the likes of Roberta Flack, Patti LaBelle, Stevie Wonder and U2. In addition to her jazz idols, Emilie’s influences include ’60s and ’70s soul and contemporary singer-songwriters such as Maxwell, Adele, and Pharrell Williams. She’ll channel all these inspirations and more for a captivating evening that honors her idols.
