World famous for traditional flamenco, Cigala is now distinguished for his imagination and courage in exploring other musical traditions, such as salsa.
“A musical game-changer, the rare musician who single-handedly alters the direction of a genre”NPR
“Indestructible,” is his new CD, recorded in Puerto Rico, Colombia, Spain, and the U.S., the singer revisits the classic sound of 70s salsa, reinventing some of his hits with his soulful, inimitable flamenco touch. He will be joined by incredible musicians and voices of the salsa tradition. In fact, Tito Allen, Johnny Rodriguez, Jorge Reinaldo, Jimmy Bosch and Ricky Gonzalez have confirmed their participation. Others are expected to confirm in the coming days.
Don’t miss this historic concert in which Cigala pays tribute to his tropical style, and introduces his new salsa talents. In addition to featured Puerto Rican musicians there are songs by Puerto Rican composer Tite Curet Alonso.
