    PBS TV host Cristina Fontanelli becomes the female Italian Santa Claus, spreading holiday joy and excitement with Italy’s best-loved songs, arias and Christmas classics — accompanied by some talented kids and live musicians — in the 14th annual “Christmas in Italy”. The actress and opera singer performs favorites including “Torna a Surriento,” Giuseppe Verdi’s “La Traviata,” the “Italian Street Song,” “O Sole Mio,” “Ave Maria” and more, backed by world-class musicians on piano, mandolins, guitar and accordion, plus orchestral tracks. The children of the Jersey City Ballet join the festivities, along with the Christmas in Italy Choir for a rendition of “Silent Night,” and Santa Claus makes an appearance to delight all the kids in the audience. Experience a family Christmas show sparkling with magic at Symphony Space’s Peter Jay Sharp Theater in New York.
