The Bronx Museum of the Arts
Communitea Senior Thursdays With Michele Brody
Thursday, May 11
1:00 – 3:00 pm
“”The Bronx Museum is excited to bring back the CommuniTea Senior Thursdays during Older Americans Month. Join them every Thursday in May for a special presentation of CommuniTea.
During the four CommuniTea Senior Thursdays in May 2017, Bronx-based artist Michele Brody will collaborate with Tea Consultant Jo-Ani Johnson and Chef Kareem Gonsalves to develop a unique pairing of organic SerendipiTea teas with exciting healthy dishes inspired by the extraordinary cultural mix of Bronx communities. The series is uniquely both cumulative and can exist as individual programs, should visitors only join for one event. All events will include a free tour of Museum exhibitions.
Free admission. All ages are welcome.
Senior Programs are generously supported by The Malka Fund and City Council Member Vanessa L. Gibson. CommuniTea, is made possible, in part by The Bronx Council of the Arts and SerendipiTea. Community and Public Programs are made possible by Booth Ferris Foundation, Con Edison, Institute of Museum and Library Services, Mertz Gilmore Foundation, New Yankee Stadium Community Benefits Fund with generous support of New York City Council Speaker Melissa-Mark Viverito and Council Member Annabel Palma.””
