Did you know that Ethical Culture has a voice at the United Nations? We do! The National Ethical Service (NES) has been an active non-governmental organization since the UN was founded in 1947. It is dedicated to promoting and enhancing the highest principles at the United Nations, the American Ethical Union (AEU), and the culture of peace worldwide in the belief that humanitarian work is vital not only to the relief of suffering, but essential to building a peaceful world.
Presently at the United Nations, Martha Gallahue is an Alternate ECOSOC representative for United Religions Initiative. She serves on several advisory or steering committees including the Source of Synergy Foundation, Breaking Walls, the Coalition for Global Citizenship 2030.
